Delete Your Account

You can permanently delete your KidBoard account at any time — from the mobile app, from the web portal, or by emailing us. Deletion removes your account and your whole family's data, and it can't be undone.

Delete from the mobile app

1. Open KidBoard and sign in as a parent.
2. Go to Settings (the gear icon on the Dashboard).
3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
4. Confirm by entering your password. If you sign in with Google or Apple, type DELETE instead.

Delete from the web portal

1. Sign in at kidboard.app/portal.
2. Open Settings and find the Delete account section at the bottom of the page.
3. Confirm with your password (or by typing DELETE for Google/Apple sign-in accounts).

Delete by email

If you can't sign in, email privacy@kidboard.app from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We verify the request and complete the deletion within 30 days.

What is deleted

Deleting your account permanently removes:

• Your parent account — name, email, password, and preferences.
• Every child profile in your family, including usernames, avatars, and uploaded photos.
• All duties, incentives, faults, rules, goals, daily records, day-off entries, and payment history.
• Uploaded images, including duty proof photos.
• Sign-in tokens and push-notification tokens on every device.

Any active subscription is cancelled at the same time, so you are not billed again. Deletion happens immediately — we do not keep a recovery copy, and we cannot restore a deleted account.

What is kept, and for how long

• Payment and tax records— our payment processor (Stripe) retains transaction records for the period required by financial and tax law, typically 7 years. These contain billing details, not your family's activity data.
• Encrypted backups — deleted data may persist in routine backups for up to 30 days, after which it is overwritten.
• Security logs — anonymised logs of sign-in attempts are kept up to 90 days for abuse prevention. They do not identify your family after deletion.

If you only want to remove one child

You don't have to delete your whole account. Open Kids in the app or portal, choose the child, and delete that profile — their records and photos go with it, and the rest of your family is untouched.

Co-parents

If a co-parent deletes their own account, only their login is removed — the family's kids and history stay with the account owner. If the ownerdeletes their account, the entire family's data is deleted and any co-parent loses access.
